1. Who we are and what this site does
wan-dancer.com is an independent community site about Wan-Dancer-14B, the open-source music-to-dance model released by Alibaba's Tongyi Lab. We are not affiliated with Alibaba or Tongyi Lab. Today the site publishes guides and explainers and runs a waitlist for a browser-based generation tool that has not launched yet. Nothing on this site currently uploads your photos or music, and no videos are generated here — so we handle far less data than a typical AI tool.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist signups. When you join the waitlist we store the email address you enter, which page you signed up from, and a timestamp. That is the complete record — we do not ask for your name or anything else.
- Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and to record three product events — waitlist submit started, succeeded, or failed — together with the page it happened on and, for failures, a short reason code. These events never include your email address.
- Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request data (including IP addresses) transiently to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.
3. How we use it
Waitlist addresses are used to tell you when online generation opens, and the signup-source page helps us judge which features people want most. We do not sell personal information, we do not share the waitlist with anyone for their own marketing, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
4. Where your data lives
- Vercel hosts the site, provides the analytics described above, and stores waitlist entries in a private storage bucket that is not publicly accessible.
- If that primary store is temporarily unavailable, a signup may instead be forwarded to a backup webhook we operate on Google's Apps Script platform, which records it in a private spreadsheet only we can access.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site does not set cookies and does not write to your browser's local storage. The analytics we use are cookieless and do not track you across other websites. Fonts are served from our own domain, so viewing the site does not trigger third-party font requests.
6. Advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center or learn more at aboutads.info. Ad cookies are set by the advertising vendors, not by us, and the cookieless behavior described in section 5 applies to everything we run ourselves.
7. Retention
Waitlist entries are kept until we have sent the launch notification and wound the waitlist down, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained under Vercel's standard retention practices. Hosting request logs are transient.
8. Your choices
Joining the waitlist is entirely optional — every guide on this site is readable without giving us anything. You can ask us at any time to remove your address from the waitlist or to tell you what we hold about it (which is only the email, signup page, and timestamp described above).
9. Contact
We do not publish a support mailbox yet. To make a privacy request, use the feedback channel on this site; if you have joined the waitlist, you can also reply directly to any email you receive from us and we will action the request from the address it concerns.
10. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example when the browser generation tool launches and starts accepting photo and music uploads — we will update this page and revise the date at the top before the change takes effect.
